Administration

I am honored to be the principal of Forbuss ES and have the opportunity to lead a school with such dedicated staff, students and families.  I have been serving in the field of education for over twenty years. During my time as an educator, I have been a classroom teacher, an instructional coach, a learning strategist, and an assistant principal.

On a personal note, I moved to Nevada in 2001 from Niagara Falls, New York.  I have a son, Lucas who attends high school right here in our community.  As a family, we love Friday movie nights and trying different foods around town. We are also huge Buffalo Bills fans and you will see me sporting my gear during football season.

I believe every child can be successful.  Working together with the staff, parents, and community, I am committed to helping each child meet their potential by providing a high-quality learning experience. I am thrilled to serve all the stakeholders here at Forbuss and partner with you in education.

I am honored to continue in my role as the assistant principal of Forbuss ES to serve the community of staff, students, and families as a partner in education. It has been a privilege to serve as an educator in the Las Vegas valley for the past sixteen years. Throughout this time, I have been a K-5 classroom teacher, teacher librarian, learning strategist, and current assistant principal.

Being an educator is a huge part of who I am, as is my amazing and supportive family. My husband and I have two daughters: Sophia, who attends a magnet middle school in CCSD and Eminy, who is a part of the Forbuss family as well. I am also a proud product of the Clark County School District, having lived in Las Vegas since 1992. My girls keep us involved in the performing arts world, and we love traveling together to the beach, watching soccer, and relaxing together in our downtime by biking and watching movies.

I pride myself on building strong and genuine relationships with staff, students, and
families. My educational philosophy centers around teaching the whole child, while
fostering a lifelong love of learning and inspiring students to be thoughtful, independent, and creative thinkers and problem solvers. Every child is capable of greatness, and I am passionate about collaborating, supporting, and learning with the Forbuss community as we strive for educational success together.
